To resolve Tongyeong's 'placelessness,' I bridged tourism and craft through technology. Using streetlamp projection, interactive media art, and AR, this project transforms cultural data into an immersive narrative for the next generation.

Living Canvas: Interactive Media Wall

An interactive projection wall designed to bridge the generational gap. I scanned animals drawn by children and textured them with digital mother-of-pearl (Najeon). When visitors touch the wall, these static creatures come alive and swim through waves of light. This playful interaction allows the younger generation to 'touch' and experience tradition dynamically.

Re:Light Tongyeong: Brand Identity

The visual identity for the exhibition at the Seoul Museum of Craft Art. I deconstructed the Chinese character for 'Lacquer' (漆) and combined it with modern typography to create a bold, contemporary look. The design invites the audience to view Tongyeong not just as a tourist spot, but as a city of light and art.

The Master's Hands: AI Tribute

A visual homage to the fading artisans of Tongyeong, created with Generative AI. I visualized the intense focus and delicate movements of a master craftsman in a hyper-realistic style. This image bridges the gap between forgotten history and future technology.

Waves of Light: Interactive Installation

An immersive media art . Traditional Najeon patterns are no longer static; they react to visitors' movements, transforming into flowing waves and animated animals. It symbolizes the revival of a static tradition through dynamic interaction.

Glimmer Shell: AR Face Filter

An TikTok AR filter designed to connect Gen Z with traditional craftsmanship. By applying real-time light estimation, I mapped the iridescent texture of mother-of-pearl onto the user's face. This virtual experience transforms an ancient craft into a shareable digital fashion item.
